Gifts for a Whole Clinic, Unit or Practice

Buying for one person is a taste problem. Buying for twenty is a logistics problem, and most people solve it badly, because the obvious move is twenty identical small things and the obvious move is usually wrong.

Here is how to think about it.

Decide first: one each, or a shared supply

These are different purchases and they fail in different ways.

One each works when you want people to take something home. It has to be individually good, which means it costs more per head, and you need to know something about the recipients or pick something that suits everybody.

A shared supply works when you want the room to be better for a month. Nobody takes it home, but everybody uses it every day, and it gets noticed far longer than a gift bag does.

For one each, eight to twenty five people

Six coffee sample packs. Two ounces of each, so one order covers a range of tastes and nobody is stuck with a roast they do not drink. They are our best sellers and this is why. See the three sample packs.

Gift cards work when you do not know the group. Less personal, but honest about that, which beats guessing wrong twenty times.

For a shared supply

If the room has a coffee maker somebody actually cleans, the 2 LB and 5 LB bags are the right unit. If it does not, and most rooms do not, single serve capsules and pods need no equipment and no goodwill. The Huddle is the collection for this.

Buy one large thing and one small variety pack rather than only one or the other. The large one lasts. The small one gets talked about.

Timing, which is where most orders go wrong

Everything here is roasted in frequent small batches based on customer demand, which is the point and also the constraint. Give a week of room, more in November and December.

If you are ordering for a recognition week, work backwards. Nurses Week is May 6 to 12, so order in March. Lab Week is late April, so order in March. October holds PA Week, Pharmacy Week, Respiratory Care Week and Medical Assistants Week, so order in August. The full calendar is on the bulk orders page.

What not to buy

Anything with the employer's logo on it. Anything that implies the recipient should be managing their own resilience harder. Anything that would read as a consolation prize for a staffing decision somebody upstairs made.

The test is simple. Would the person receiving it feel seen, or feel handled?

Ordering more than the store handles

Email hello@chiefcomplaintcoffee.com with how many people, when you need it, and whether it ships to one address or many. We will quote it directly rather than making you build a forty line cart.
